Tuscany stands for many things that have made Italy so popular: Vineyards and olive groves, pine forests and much more. Located in the countryside of Montalcino, in the middle of the world-famous Brunello di Montalcino wine region, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is one of the oldest and best-preserved country estates in Italy. The 800-year-old estate, privately owned by Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo since 2003, covers over 2000 hectares and includes castle ruins steeped in history, a medieval church and the Borgo, a historic village that is now the heart of the resort.
Truffle hunting with the Castiglion del Bosco
Since 1 October 2021, hotel guests will have the unique opportunity to go on a walk through the typical Tuscan woods in search of truffles. Accompanied by an expert, they will be initiated into the secrets of truffle hunting. Afterwards, guests at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco are invited to enjoy a four-course truffle dinner prepared by the chef and round off this authentic Tuscan experience with a glass of local wine.
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco will remain open for an extended season for the first time this year, giving travellers more time to enjoy the resort’s ongoing programme during the autumn and festive season.
